ToolTeam® is a family business based in Cologne Lindenthal. In 2006, the brothers Philipp August (centre) and Johannes Wilhelm Bier (left) laid the foundation stone for ToolTeam®, a full-range supplier of tools, machines and factory equipment, construction technology and construction equipment, sanitary and heating, steel and fastening technology, welding, safety and industrial technology, building and garden technology, automotive technology, standard parts and occupational safety products, which has been a brand of August GmbH since 2012.
HISTORY
The idea of building ToolTeam® came at a time when the online business had just come of age and was becoming increasingly professional. The Bier brothers were enthusiastic about the emergence of more and more players from all areas. Sector by sector recognized the opportunities of e-commerce and invested in the expansion of small and large shops.
The way to high-quality tools led at that time still directly to the counter of the next tool dealer. Inspired by technology and consolidated in their training and mechanical engineering studies, the siblings developed the ToolTeam® concept: an international marketplace that combines expert advice from the local dealer with a full range of all current tool manufacturers, thereby creating transparency.
The market should prove them right. After a successful start and several thousand customers in the following years, ToolTeam® founded the next stage in the company's history in 2013. ToolTeam® is currently the only company in the industry to maintain specialized shop-in-shop systems that are holistically oriented towards the manufacturers' ideas in terms of design and individualization. Customers navigate intuitively through new products and offers or even the current range of German and international sizes.
ToolTeam® sees itself as a global marketplace where international customers meet suppliers - regardless of the commercial or private background of the interested parties. Once the customer has decided on a product or entire batches, he has the conditions of the various suppliers shown to him and selects the suitable offer for himself or his company. Thus ToolTeam® enables a transparent comparison and always offers the optimal offer according to preference. Thanks to extensive warehousing, the goods are shipped immediately after receipt of order to over 200 countries around the world.
