Edge protection sealing profiles GN 2180 are used to seal doors, flaps and hatches. To do this, the profiles are pressed by hand onto the end faces of sheets or plates. The embedded clamping insert protects against independent loosening. Glue or other fasteners are not required. When installed, the profile should undergo a deformation due to the components to be sealed, which corresponds to dimension w2. This ensures an optimal sealing effect. In order to ensure long-term tightness of the profiles and to make installation easier, it is recommended to adhere to the specified guide values for the laying radii (r1... r4). The NBR profiles are to be used in areas of application where there is contact with fuels, oils or cooling lubricants can occur.EPDM profiles are certified according to UL 50 and UL 94-HB and are therefore approved for the US and Canadian markets.
