Suitable for steel (I girders, large-dimension sheets), cast steel, high-alloyed chromium steel such as stainless and acidresistant steel, non-ferrous and light metals. The TiN anti-wear coating increases the surface hardness of the tool to approx. 2,300 HV micro-hardness. This features high strength together with high thermal and chemical stability. Considerably improved cutting behaviour was attained by research into the cutting geometry, which has a beneficial effect on cutting performance and drill life.
